Your print is produced to the highest standards, showing extraordinary depth and detail. The naturally acid-free 100% cotton-base rag paper is of museum grade quality, specially selected by the artist: archival, heavy weight of 300 gsm, internally buffered and using no optical brighteners (it will preserve its natural color over time). Prints are made with a generous 1.5″-5″ (depending on print size) white border to help preservation and simplify framing.
The certificate of authenticity is signed by the artist and guarantees that your print is a limited/numbered edition artwork.
Prints are safely packaged and shipped flat, ready for framing.
Edition Information
Portfolio Small, Portfolio Large, Gallery Small and Gallery Large are Limited Editions. In these Limited Editions each print is numbered until the maximum count for each edition is reached: Portfolio Small – 350, Portfolio Large – 35, Gallery Small -25 and Gallery Large – 12. Prints are usually made on order. One or two Artist Proofs are made for each of these editions.
In Open Numbered Edition each print is numbered. This Edition is produced without the maximum limit. Prints are usually made on order.
Matting and Framing Options
Archival Cotton Rag Mat Portfolio: window mat is showing the print with 0.5″ white border to reveal edition number and signature, hinged to the cotton rag backboard with archival linen tape. Print is not mounted or glued – print is held in place with archival clear strips allowing to remove it if necessary. Mat is white color which stands off from the color of photo paper, enhancing a clean classic look of the photograph.
Mat thickness around the print: Portfolio Small – 2″ to 3″, Portfolio Large – 3″, Gallery Small – 3.5″, Gallery Large – 3.5″.
Gallery Small and Gallery Large prints are archivally mounted to a rigid composite aluminum board. This ensures flatness of the large area of the print. These editions are produced with up to 4″ border, so that mounted print is extending to the edges of the frame.
Framing is available with the elegant black metal frame which does not distract from the image. Frame front thickness is slightly wider than 1/4″ for Portfolio Editions and 1″ for Gallery Editions. Portfolio Editions prints are framed with the acid free foam core backing providing a rigid support to the cotton rag mat portfolio. Frame includes optically clear Acrylite OP3 UV protective acrylic that provides 99.9% UV protection and is significantly more shatter resistant than glass.
